Dear Ones:
Today, I encourage you to choose to be strong. Do not let an awareness of your own limitations, smallness, or weakness, deter you from being all that God would have you to be. Use the sense of your own need to move you to seek His strength. Do this and you will find:
“Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessing all mine, with ten thousand beside!”
(“Great is Thy Faithfulness“ by Thomas O. Chisholm, third stanza)

You will also find true God’s promise: “He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.” (Isaiah 40:29)
“But those who wait on the LORD shall RENEW their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31) Note that God gives to those who are conscious of their need. And for those who call upon Him, He will truly and wonderfully answer.
This strength that God gives has many forms. One manifestation of His strength is the ability to repulse any attempt of our enemy to make us afraid, dissatisfied, disappointed, or discouraged. We are called to be “anxious for nothing.” (Philippians 4:6-7) How can this be?
God’s commandments are our enablements. God commanded Joshua to “Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9) He did so in order to clearly reveal to us that it is His will that we not give ground to anything that would deter us from the ultimate objective of walking with God today. Remember He is WITH us. He is committed to us. He will not fail or forsake us. “He cannot deny Himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13) He IS truth. (John 14:6)
So, by faith, let us put the whole weight of our existence upon Him, believe Him, trust Him, rest in Him…for He is faithful. He will strengthen the weak hands and feet, the tired spirit, the weary soul. The consciousness of our need is His access point. He stands at the door of your heart today knocking, desiring fellowship with you, able to meet your need. (Revelation 3:20) The question is simple: Will I go to the door, and give Him access…the access to all?
We are all in different circumstances, and mountains are before us. They are different mountains, but the attitude towards those mountains must be the same. “We ARE more than conquerors through Him that loved us.” (Romans 8:37) What words of hope and certainty!!! Let us go forth this day, undeterred, believing Him who has conquered the highest mountain, Calvary, and knows the lesser ones that we face. We shall prove Him faithful today. And He shall be pleased.
“Ask, and ye shall receive…for EVERYONE that asks receives.” (Matthew 7:7-8)

Dad
