My wife and I served as evangelical, protestant missionaries in France for eleven and a half years, after which I became the pastor and director of a Christian school in a French-speaking evangelical church, L'Eglise Evangelique de Saint Jerome, in Quebec, Canada. After serving in Quebec for five years, we then moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where I became the pastor of the First Evangelical Church of Greenville. In 1995, we moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where I eventually assumed the management of the family business, and remained there until 2012, when our family moved to Meridian, Idaho. My wife and I have six children. These short devotionals are born out of the loss of one of these children in particular, with the hope and prayer that they will serve to encourage and inspire those who read them in their walk with Christ. God bless you all, and may we finish well the race set before us.

“For who has despised the day of small things?” Zechariah 4:10 Dear Ones: Perhaps one of the greatest obstacles to faith, and believing God for the wonderful thing, is the assessment of our very small, and limited resources. “But Joshua the son of Nun, which stands before you, he shall go in there; encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.” Deuteronomy 1:38 Dear Ones: What makes a man a conqueror, in particular, one who has truly trusted in Christ? Are conquerors made in a day? And lastly, what are the…
“And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat.” Exodus 25:22 Dear Ones: What is the greatest privilege and calling in life according to the Bible? And, are we convinced of it? We begin our search for the answer to these questions in the Old Testament,…

“Elisha put his hands upon the king’s hands.” 2 Kings 13:16 Dear Ones: There are times in life when circumstances change for what we think is “the worse”. And yet, in the economy of God, even as He always leaves a remnant of believers in godless circumstances, He will continue His work in a new…
