My wife and I served as evangelical, protestant missionaries in France for eleven and a half years, after which I became the pastor and director of a Christian school in a French-speaking evangelical church, L'Eglise Evangelique de Saint Jerome, in Quebec, Canada. After serving in Quebec for five years, we then moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where I became the pastor of the First Evangelical Church of Greenville. In 1995, we moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where I eventually assumed the management of the family business, and remained there until 2012, when our family moved to Meridian, Idaho. My wife and I have six children. These short devotionals are born out of the loss of one of these children in particular, with the hope and prayer that they will serve to encourage and inspire those who read them in their walk with Christ. God bless you all, and may we finish well the race set before us.

“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ saith the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6 Dear Ones: When Nicodemus came to Jesus by night, certainly to be able to speak to Him personally without the distraction of others, the Lord spoke very directly…
“When you pray, enter into your closet (room), and when you have shut the door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret shall reward you openly.” Matthew 6:6 Dear Ones: If ever there was a verse of Scripture which reveals to us how REAL the Lord desires…
“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalm 1:3 Dear Ones: In the story of Joseph, we come face to face with a wonderful reality that is extraordinarily significant…
“…that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection.” Philippians 3:10 Dear Ones: When we see, or hear, the noise and sheer demonstration of power as revealed in the mass and volume of water flowing over and down Niagra Falls, we stand amazed, especially as we compare that power with our own. Equally…
“Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” Luke 2:10 Dear Ones: Why and how is the Gospel of Christ…good? First of all, we need to look at the Author and Finisher of Faith, who has designed the Gospel, and who was the very accomplishment…
