My wife and I served as evangelical, protestant missionaries in France for eleven and a half years, after which I became the pastor and director of a Christian school in a French-speaking evangelical church, L'Eglise Evangelique de Saint Jerome, in Quebec, Canada. After serving in Quebec for five years, we then moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where I became the pastor of the First Evangelical Church of Greenville. In 1995, we moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where I eventually assumed the management of the family business, and remained there until 2012, when our family moved to Meridian, Idaho. My wife and I have six children. These short devotionals are born out of the loss of one of these children in particular, with the hope and prayer that they will serve to encourage and inspire those who read them in their walk with Christ. God bless you all, and may we finish well the race set before us.

“My grace is sufficient for thee, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 Dear Ones: Why is the person of Samson mentioned in the Bible? Does God want us to be “like” him in the experience and use of his strength? The answer is “yes” and “no.” Samson was born for…
“In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:6 Dear Ones: There is a discipline in the Christian life that is essential if we would rise to be where we would aspire to be in our walk, and fellowship, with Christ. It has to do with “looking unto Jesus.” What…
“…for without Me, you can do nothing.” John 15:5 Dear Ones: There are two great objectives that God aims to accomplish in us. They both have their essence and realization in our hearts and minds. He works in us to “will and to do of His good pleasure” to first bring us to understand that…
“He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 Dear Ones: What is the measure of the worth of a gift? Is it not in how much it cost the one giving it? How about…
