My wife and I served as evangelical, protestant missionaries in France for eleven and a half years, after which I became the pastor and director of a Christian school in a French-speaking evangelical church, L'Eglise Evangelique de Saint Jerome, in Quebec, Canada. After serving in Quebec for five years, we then moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where I became the pastor of the First Evangelical Church of Greenville. In 1995, we moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where I eventually assumed the management of the family business, and remained there until 2012, when our family moved to Meridian, Idaho. My wife and I have six children. These short devotionals are born out of the loss of one of these children in particular, with the hope and prayer that they will serve to encourage and inspire those who read them in their walk with Christ. God bless you all, and may we finish well the race set before us.

The Dominant Realty Today

“Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His death?” Romans 6:3 Dear Ones: In this great chapter of the letter written to the believers in Rome, Paul asks the question:  “Do you not know?”  Know what?  He then goes on to refer to the great,…

So Shall MY Word Be…

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 Dear Ones: The attitude and perspective that we have towards the Word of God, the Bible, is representative of what our attitude is towards Him.  One of the basic tenets of the blessing of…

That No Flesh Should Glory

“According as it is written, ‘He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.’” 1 Corinthians 1:31 Dear Ones: Our view of God, His nature, and that which is right in His eyes, has become skewed, and reduced to the “man-made” level of mediocrity, because of the infringement of humanism, the worship of man.  Paul…

The Soul’s Satisfaction And Fullness

“For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.” Psalm 107:9 Dear Ones: When Isaiah writes that Christ was “…despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief,” (Is. 53:3) we are immediately transported to the mirror that reveals things as they are.  Earlier in the book…

Faith Is The Victory
