My wife and I served as evangelical, protestant missionaries in France for eleven and a half years, after which I became the pastor and director of a Christian school in a French-speaking evangelical church, L'Eglise Evangelique de Saint Jerome, in Quebec, Canada. After serving in Quebec for five years, we then moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where I became the pastor of the First Evangelical Church of Greenville. In 1995, we moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where I eventually assumed the management of the family business, and remained there until 2012, when our family moved to Meridian, Idaho. My wife and I have six children. These short devotionals are born out of the loss of one of these children in particular, with the hope and prayer that they will serve to encourage and inspire those who read them in their walk with Christ. God bless you all, and may we finish well the race set before us.

Two Overwhelming Absolutes

The Night Of Catching Nothing

“…But when morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Him.” John 21:4 Dear Ones: The realization of our expectations and God’s timing can be synonymous, IF we wait on Him.  There came a moment after the resurrection of Christ, after He Had revealed Himself to the…

The Magnitude Of The Spirit

“For whom God hath sent speaks the words of God: for God gives not the Spirit by measure unto him.” John 3:34 Dear Ones: What do the words, “the fullness of the Spirit,” really mean?  In the book of Jeremiah, there is a promise that God gives to the priests.  He says:  “I will satiate the…

The Power Of The Promise

“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the Divine Nature.” 2 Peter 1:4 Dear Ones: When Israel came out of Egypt, from under the domination of Pharoah, it was for the purpose of going into the land of Canaan, and possessing it.  The Lord…

The Imperative Of Truth

“To this end (purpose) was I born, and for this cause came I unto the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.” John 18:37 Dear Ones: Perhaps the greatest questions that we must resolve in our hearts and minds are these:  “Is what Jesus said true, and, was He in His essence the…

Great Things

“…I…will show thee great and mighty things…” (Jeremiah 33:30); “…and greater works than these shall he do, because I go to My Father.” (John 14:12) Dear Ones: When God spoke to Jeremiah concerning “great and mighty things” that He would reveal to him, and then accomplish, He was speaking of all that was involved in…

Are You Ready?

“…And they that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut.”  Matthew 25:10 Dear Ones: There was but one door by which to enter the Ark in the days of Noah.  By this singular door Noah and his family would enter into the safety of that Ark.  There would…

The Power Of A Name

“…And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”  Isaiah 9:6 Dear Ones: When Moses asked God to show him His glory, the Lord answered him by saying:  “I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the NAME of the Lord…
