My wife and I served as evangelical, protestant missionaries in France for eleven and a half years, after which I became the pastor and director of a Christian school in a French-speaking evangelical church, L'Eglise Evangelique de Saint Jerome, in Quebec, Canada. After serving in Quebec for five years, we then moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where I became the pastor of the First Evangelical Church of Greenville. In 1995, we moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where I eventually assumed the management of the family business, and remained there until 2012, when our family moved to Meridian, Idaho. My wife and I have six children. These short devotionals are born out of the loss of one of these children in particular, with the hope and prayer that they will serve to encourage and inspire those who read them in their walk with Christ. God bless you all, and may we finish well the race set before us.

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 There are those who believe that Christ did NOT die on Calvary for all men, that they should be saved. There…
“…be filled with the Spirit…,” “being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.” Ephesians 5:18, Philippians 1:11 The Lord Jesus Christ did not die on Calvary for the sins of men, that they should be saved partially. Nor did He die, and be raised…
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” John 12:24 There is a principle of fruitfulness in the Scriptures that must not be overlooked when it comes to the things of God, service for…
“And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, ‘Oh that Thou wouldst bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!’ And God granted him that which he requested.” 1 Chronicles 4:10 What is…
“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before His God, as he did aforetime.” Daniel 6:10 The testimony of Daniel’s life was a remarkable…
“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.” Romans 8:9 It is one thing to be IN the Spirit, and quite another to be filled WITH the Spirit. What is the difference, and what can be the results of coming to…
